BREAKING: Enugu Air Aircraft Skids Off Runway During Landing At Benin Airport
An aircraft operated by Enugu Air skidded off the runway of the Benin Airport during landing on Thursday.
The airline confirmed the incident in a statement shared on its official X account.
According to the airline, all passengers and crew members safely disembarked from the aircraft, with no injuries or casualties recorded.
Enugu Air said the aircraft has been secured and relevant aviation authorities have been notified in line with standard procedures.
“We sincerely thank our passengers for their patience, understanding, and cooperation,” the airline stated.
“We are pleased to confirm that all passengers and crew safely disembarked with no injuries reported. Safety remains our highest priority, and we will continue to provide updates through our official channels.”
The airline added that an assessment of the aircraft and the circumstances surrounding the incident is currently ongoing.
“As a result, there may be temporary adjustments to some flight schedules. Passengers affected by any changes will be contacted directly and provided with the necessary assistance,” it said.
