The Prince William, Prince of Wales and his wife, Catherine, Princess of Wales, officially welcomed Bola Ahmed Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu at the Fairmont Hotel.
The visit signals a significant moment in diplomatic relations, as it is the first time in 37 years that a Nigerian leader is undertaking a state visit to the UK, underscoring renewed efforts to strengthen bilateral ties between both nations.
During the two-day engagement, discussions are expected to focus on key areas including trade, investment, education, and security cooperation, reflecting shared interests between Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
